Holistic Personal Training is a departure from traditional training. Like traditional training, you will experience free weights, balance, body weight resistance, stretching and strengthening. Unlike traditional training, Laura will incorporate yoga, mindfulness meditation and a holistic eating plan into your daily workouts. Your weekly assignments will ask you to integrate a morning and evening rituals into your day that includes mindfulness, gentle yoga and a nutritional meal. Every day you will be asked to participate in some form of aerobic activity. If you have a history of injury Laura Bender will use exercises singly or with the help of your physician or physical therapist. You will learn proper techniques and the reason why each exercise is important–rather than a flurry of mindless activity that gets you little more than sweaty. There is no time like the present to be the best you can be: body, mind and spirit.
In the private comfort of our studio, Laura will work with you 1 to 3 times a week based on your goals and fitness needs. In 3 months you can learn new relaxation techniques, discover a new level of fitness, get a program that provides maximum returns for the goals that you set for yourself, and see physical changes. Want to workout with a friend or loved one?
Working in pairs can be done if both people share similar fitness goals and abilities. It is easier to continue a fitness habit with positive support.
We can set up special classes in our studio for businesses or private groups. There is nothing like meditation, stretching, aerobics, balance circuit and/or yoga to reinforce team building and strengthen relationships.

Finally, we are available outside the studio for special occasions such as business promotions, group activities, company and private gatherings like picnics, spas and holiday occasions. How can a personal trainer help me?
Laura begins with an initial consultation or interview. The purpose of this meeting is to gather as much information about your current health and fitness goals. If you are looking for us to do a special occasion or class, this is a good time for us to get an idea of your group dynamics and fitness levels. Individually, we will assess your fitness level in the following areas:
- General health
- Body composition
- Ayurvedic Dosha
Based on the results of these assessments a holistic trainer will make exercise, diet, and lifestyle recommendations.
Once recommendations have been made you can use the trainers suggestions to improve your own workout or you can employ the trainer to write you a personal program and work with you individually. Do you have Questions?
